Is it beginner-friendly? Will it make me peel?
If this is your first time ever using a retinoid product (retinol, retinal, RetinA, Accutane), then there's always the possibility of some peeling or dryness. We recommend starting low and slow, and giving your skin time to get used to the product. Apply 1-2 times a week to start with, see how you're doing after two weeks, and adjust accordingly.

Can I use it with other actives?
When you’re first starting to use 24 Carrot Retinal, we recommend starting low and slow, and not using other actives (such as Vitamin C, AHAs, BHAs etc). Once your skin acclimates to the retinal, you can slowly reintroduce the actives back in – listen to your skin! You might have to alternate between actives, or be more diligent about layering on moisturizer.
What % retinal is it?
0.05%
Does this work for all skin types?
We tried to design this to work for all skin types, but as always we recommend patch testing to make sure it works for you. For those with sensitive skin or ultra dry skin, we recommend starting very slow, and utilizing the sandwich method (apply a layer of moisturizer, then the serum, and another layer of moisturizer).
Difference between Retinal vs. Retinol?
Retinal, or retinaldehyde, is closer to the type of Vitamin A your skin can actually use! This is why we can usually use a lower % of retinal (such as 0.05% or 0.1%) to get the same visible results as 1% retinol.
