With its blend of nourishing oils + rebalancing actives, Great Barrier Relief helps by gently hydrating the skin, soothing irritation, and strengthening the barrier wall to replenish dry skin and kick redness to the curb. Whether you’ve over-exfoliated or got too pump-happy with retinol, GBR is here to lend a calming hand, no bat symbol required.

Tamanu Oil: Soothes irritation and calms redness without greasiness. Niacinamide: Helps clear spots, fades discoloration, and brightens skin. Ceramides: Essential to skin health—helps replenish fatty building blocks of the skin barrier.
The color and texture of Great Barrier Relief may naturally vary slightly from batch to batch. No worries! This is a normal occurrence when using naturally-derived ingredients and it does not impact the efficacy of the formula.
NOTE: Great Barrier Relief does contain 10% Tamanu Oil, which is derived from Tamanu nuts. Though most people don’t have issues using this ingredient, people with nut allergies could have a potential reaction. If you think your skin will react, we recommend performing a 24-hour patch test on your wrist and neck first and slowly integrating GBR into your routine thereafter. If you do experience an allergic reaction, stop using the product immediately and seek medical attention if needed.

My daughter worked at a skin clinic and does a lot of research on skin products because of her acne prone skin. She loves this product and recommended it to me for solving dry and sensitive skin issues. I was having bad reactions to anti-aging products and then I switched to this product which I’ve been using daily for a couple of years without any breakouts or reactions. It does a great job keeping my skin moisturized, especially important with the dry indoor heat during winter.

I really enjoyed how hydrating and dewy it made my skin, however the smell is not something I’m a fan of, it’s very nutty and overpowering and I’m not someone usually bothered by scents in skincare products but with this one I had to wash my hands after using it, it also started giving me the same reaction as the Oil la la did in the form of little red white heads that disappeared the day after I stopped using it. the only common ingredient was the rose hip fruit oil so sadly I will be passing these on.

KraveBeauty also avoids including fragrance in our products as it can cause irritation or reaction on the skin — which is another reason why the natural pungency was not masked!

I wish this included the strong odor in the description. It smells like maple syrup which is not the worst odor however it's very strong and irritating when it's on your face. If that doesn't bother you, this is a great product - texture and hydration are top. If you're sensitive to odors, maybe reconsider.
